Equipment Reservation

●Equipment use/reservations are available at any time for previously trained users with InSTAR approval.
●If training is required, or long-term use is expected, email us at instar@hawaii.edu or submit an Instrument Reservation Form. ●Instrument reservation requests are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Please click here for current availability. If equipment is “in-use”, please contact us to inquire about sharing equipment with other InSTAR users.

Instrument User Policies:

● All users must complete a mandatory training for instrument usage.
● Users must follow all InSTAR policies when working in InSTAR.
● Users must wear proper PPE and have current certificiations to work in a BSL2/CSL2 lab.
● Violations of InSTAR policies may result in a temporary loss of access to the InSTAR core facility.
● Users will be charged an additional $20 fee if equipment is not properly cleaned and/or disinfected after use.
● Users/PIs must have a current InSTAR User Agreement on file before services will be rendered.
● Use of of InSTAR equipment is fee-based. See our rates (above) for more information.
